1973 top end work

With a bent frame on the BSA and me being too lazy to finish up the 63 right now (I’m just not motivated till something else is running good);  it’s time to get the 73 holding more oil than it leaks. It’s been pissing oil for a while and only got worse so i stopped riding it a month or so ago. Originally thought it was the push rod tubes..it wasn’t..now I’m think it could use some head work. Taking it apart this week and theoretically going to turn this one around quick so I can get some riding in this summer.

Bent Frame

I had all the broken fins on my BSA head welded up so the top end looks as good as the bottom end. However, the never-ending project lives up to it’s name. I’ve suspected  and was hoping it was not the case, but I confirmed the other day that my BSA frame is bent and pretty much garbage. So before it hits the road again I’ll need a new frame.

Parts original to my bike left: oil tank, front wheel, triple trees, fork lowers, pegs, carb

Parts replaced: Everything else
